While I do not have an IC diagnosis, I did have severe overactive bladder (3x/hr) and severe nocturia (7x/night).
Both of these conditions have improved tremendously with Cystoprotek. Since I have a sensitive stomach, I tolerated only one soft gel per day -- but started to see results within 2 weeks.
After 6 mos. on Cystoprotek, I find I am now able to tolerate many foods & beverages in moderation -- ones that used to set my OA bladder off into spasm. My nocturia is down to 1.5 times per night.
My osteoarthritis has also improved quite a bit.

I am Asian. I have had IC for almost 15 years. I have tried every thing, and nothing works except your product. Hi,I have been living with IC for 15 years. I have tried everything to no avail. Than one day I saw a CystoProtek ad on the web, so I thought I’d give it a try. I bought four bottles, and I almost trashed it after two week of using it, because I thought it's like all the other meds that I tried, and it just doesn't work, but since I paid quiet a lot for it, I decided to finish the four bottles that I bought. To my surprise after two months of using it, it started to work. The only drawback with natural meds is it took a little longer to work than chemical. It worked even better when I took it with aloe vera for IC. When taking CystoProtek give it 3 months to a year for it to work.

I owe you a huge THANK YOU! I have been doing great with the IC. Since starting on the CystoProtek I have slept wonderfully almost every night for the last two weeks! That was my biggest issue. No matter what I did - ate or drank - I was up 3-4 times a night and the sleep that I was getting wasn't very good. I felt like a walking zombie (a grouchy one). Now I am eating a healthy diet with some things I couldn't eat before (mostly fruits - I love fresh fruits and veggies) and I can sleep! I also can make it through the grocery store now without having to stop at the restrooms.

I have taken CystoProtek for a little over a week. I noticed relief - and I am talking about major relief - from my IC pain after only a few days. I am certain CystoProtek is the reason. I honestly can say most days I feel no pain now. This is like a miracle after being in constant pain for several months..I am taking two with breakfast and two at dinner. Also frequency is reduced, but the major thing is the absence of the constant, nagging, burning pain in my bladder. I am so encouraged - all I can say is Thank You!!!! I honestly feel like my bladder is being healed.

I was diagnosed with IC three years ago and started taking Elmiron & Elavil for pain management. A few months ago, a contact with the IC Association told me about CystoProtek, a nonprescription medication. I was hesitant to change what was working, but I'm glad I gave it a try. The transition from Elmiron to CystoProtek was painless, and I find it easy to tolerate and easy to purchase. Everyone with IC has a different pain tolerance, and we give up many healthy acidic foods, but I find that if I take CystoProtek to protect the bladder lining and Elavil to dull pain, then I can have a more varied and enjoyable diet.

I have been using CystoProtek for about a year and a half now. I found out about it when my girlfriend took me to her support group for Interstitial Cystitis. Luckily my case isn't severe. I have fibromyalgia and many people with fibromyalgia seem to have this. I have never gone through the test, which I believe is done with a cystoscope, but I have been told by several Drs., including a urologist, that they believe I have it. And, as with many illnesses, it seems to have gotten worse with age. I started to notice a change for the better after taking the CystoProtek for a few months, which is exactly what the directions say. I also have irritable bowel and when I do have stomach problems or a lot of gas, then I do notice my bladder bothering me a little. That would make sense though. The gas presses on my bladder. Other than those times, I'm pretty much symptom free. I now occasionally eat oranges or other acidic foods and it doesn't seem to bother me. Sooo, that's about it. I'm so glad I found this product. And, I have taken the bottle to my fibromyalgia support group and shared it with them.

After my hysterectomy I developed IC. I was in terrible pain and could hardly eat anything without severe pain. I was also having to go to the bathroom every twenty minutes. I was not yet 30, and this seemed very depressing to me. My Doctor put me on a prescription drug and that worked pretty good, but I still could not have any of the foods I liked. Thank God for CystoProtek. After a year of using this product in conjunction with the prescription drug, I am pain free and can pretty much eat what I want. I am down to only 2 doses of the prescription drug a day and hope to eliminate it altogether. Don't give up keep trying, it took a little over a year for me to be pain free.

I have had ICS for over fifteen years. I spent many of these years in bed unable to function in any normal way. I have taken many different kinds of medicine with little or no affect. It was so bad in the past that I went from feeling like a wimp to wanting to die. I thought I was very weak until I found out that as a disease, it (Interstitial Cystitis) has the third highest suicide rate. It really is as bad as I thought. I have been treated by a chiropractor, who treated me with adjustments and homeopathic means which gave me some relief. A friend told me about CystoProtek, and I decided to give it a try. I started taking it about nine months ago and started feeling some relief within a month. It steadily got better every month. It really began to make me feel like I might get to "live". Just wanted to let you know how effective the CystoProtek is for me. I don’t know what I would do without it!! I have no side effects from it other than relieving some of my arthritis. Isn’t that great? I have tried to reduce from 4 a day to 2 a day but I can’t do it. The pain returns. How wonderful it is that the doctors developed it. My eternal thanks to them. CystoProtek has been a miracle in helping my condition of Interstitial Cystitis. I feel I really need to share this with others suffering with this painful condition.
For nine years I was taking antibiotics off and on. I tried adjusting my diet, avoiding foods high in acid and limiting alot of foods and beverages I enjoyed. It can be really depressing. I was constantly doing research about this condition and trying different supplements. I don't like to be on drugs, so did not want to start any. As a last resort, an RN who specializes in IC suggested I try CystoProtek.
I did some research on it and decided to give it a try. It's been about three months now, and I have been pain free. Also the other problems that come with IC are gone. I am gradually adding foods and beverages I avoided back in my diet with no problems.
I take 2 CystoProtek capsules in the morning and 2 in the evening. I was so shocked it helped I was afraid to tell anyone for fear the pain would come back!
Now I'm so excited about it I want to thank the doctors who researched this product and anyone else that has anything to do with it. I sure hope it helps other as it has definitely helped me.

I am writing to tell you how extremely effective your product CystoProtek has been in treating my moderate case of interstitial cystitis(IC). I say moderate, because if I stay on a very bland diet with no fruit, chocolate, spices, caffeine, etc., my symptoms consistent of great urinary frequency and only minor pain. However, this diet is very difficult to maintain.
I had been taking a prescription drug for about 18 months before trying the CystoProtek. It brought no improvement, but I kept taking it because I didn't see any other options. Also, last year I had 2 series of bladder instillations which also did nothing.
Very soon after adding the CystoProtek, I began to notice that I could go longer without using the bathroom and after a few months, I can now tolerate small amounts of chocolate, carbonated beverages and caffeine without pain!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for making CystoProtek! In addition to already greatly improving my IC, I have hope that continuing usage will make my bladder ever more normal.

I am late in Thanking Dr. Theoharides for helping me with unbearable bladder pain. I saw 2 different urologists who could not help me even with pain killers. Detrol only gave me dry mouth, and kept me from being able to urinate. it was only because of my own research on the internet that I was able to find Cystoprotek. I have been well for 6 months now. I have told so many people about this product, and also I tell people to avoid ingestion of EQUAL (Aspertame) because that is how I got the inflammation in the first place. Thanks again,
